a gentle, feelgood comedy (cert. PG) is loosely based on the true story of how The Kangaroo Sanctuary was founded in Australia. The film is set in the Australian Outback, in a remote area of Alice Springs, where a failed TV weatherman, after a motoring mishap, gradually teams up with a young kangaroo-obsessed girl to rescue orphaned Joeys (young kangaroos). Their unlikely friendship and mission to save kangaroos becomes a life changing journey for both of them. John Lack says ‘We’ve selected this film to try and provide some escape from what’s in the news at the moment. I’m sure you will enjoy it.’
