Gardens open for charity – Burton Village

The Coach House is rejoining us in 2026. With stunning views across the River Dee, the garden is full of colour and has a new water feature. Only 3 yrs old, 4 Burton Manor Gardens is a tiny gem with interesting shrubs, a herbaceous border, cheerful pots and even tomatoes in the greenhouse. Close by is Burton Manor Walled garden with period planting and a splendid vegetable garden surrounding the restored Edwardian glasshouse. Paths lead past a sunken garden and terraces to views across the Cheshire countryside. Trustwood is a relaxed country garden, a haven for wildlife with emphasis on British native trees planted along the drive, the use of insect friendly plants and wildlife ponds. Briarfield has many unusual plants, some available in the plant sale at the house. The 1½ acre main garden invites exploration not only for its variety of plants but also for the imaginative use of ceramic sculptures. Such diversity, but we are all gardening on a light sandy, slightly acid soil.

Home-made teas in the Sports and Social Club behind the village hall. Refreshments in aid of Claire House Children’s Hospice.
